How do I set permissions for my agile board?
There's many ways you can set the permissions to enable access for Screenful. Here's one way to do it:
- Create an "integrations" usergroup.
- Set up the Screenful user as a member of the integrations group
- Assign the integrations group to the users project role in the project
- Assign the JIRA Users global permission to the integrations usergroup
Here's a step-by-step guide for setting permissions.
I have added Screenful user, but the dashboard is empty
Does the filter query for your agile board contain multiple projects? If yes, then make sure that Screenful user has access to each of those project. You can see the Filter Query for a board in the General section of your board configuration.
Can these screens be configured to show something else than what's in the product tour
Yes, the Jira's Filter Query provides endless possibilities for slicing and dicing your data into these screens. For example, you can track and compare KPIs by project, customer, component, release etc.
I'd like to filter my data by type/priority/component so that only certain tasks are included in the dashboard. Can I do that?
You can create a dedicated agile board for Screenful and filter it's content using Jira's Filter Query feature, and then create another Screenful dashboard to track that agile board.
Do I need to have estimates on my tasks?
You can estimate your tasks using story points or days/hours. It's fine also if you don't estimate your tasks at all, then we just use the task count as a basis for the sprint burndown on the Current Sprint screen. The Release Forecast screen always uses task count for the velocity calculation.
Which Jira versions are supported?
Jira version 5 or newer.
Can I have this installed on my own server?
Yes. We can provide you a Docker image with installation instructions as part of our Enterprise plan.
Is there a way to consolidate data from multiple projects on one screenful dashboard?
Yes, you can create a dedicated agile board for Screenful that combines data form multiple Jira projects by using Jira's Filter Query feature. Just make sure that Screenful user has access to each project that is included in the query.
Do I need to have sprints in order to use your dashboards?
There's only one screen, Current Sprint, that requires the use of sprints. Other screens do not expect the use of sprints.
Does this support my specific workflow or do I have to use some specific states like "Open", "In progress" and "done"?
No you don't. Screens can be configured so that they reflect your own specific workflow.
How is the lead/cycle/reaction time calculated?
How do I view these screens in my mobile/tablet?
Input your dashboard URL into your phone browser, and once the page is loaded, save the page as a shortcut icon into your home screen so that the next time you can access it quickly by tapping the icon. In Android devices, you can do it by selecting "Add to home screen" from the menu.
How often data is updated on my screens?
All screens are updated once an hour.
