Introducing Single Sign-On (SSO) and the new Admin role 🔐
Sep 30, 2021
We’ve added the much-awaited support for Single Sign-On (SSO). You can now use your existing SSO implementation to manage user access to your Screenful account more securely. Single Sign-On allows a user to provide credentials only once and then authenticate multiple applications with the same credentials.
Screenful supports single sign-on with all popular identity providers, including Okta, Microsoft, Google, OneLogin, PingFederate, and many others.
We’ve also added a new Admin role that limits the user management features to selected individuals.
Setting up Single Sign-On (SSO) for your Screenful account
If you’re a current enterprise customer and would like to enable SSO for your Screenful account, reach out to support@screenful.com, and our staff will enable SSO for your account and help you set it up.
You can then navigate to the Account tab and click on the Configure SSO link on the bottom.
A setup guide will take you through all steps needed to configure the SSO connection. First, you can select your identity provider:
The next steps will depend on the selected provider but there will be a user-friendly guide to help you through the process.
In the end, you’ll be able to verify that your SSO connection works properly.
Now you and your colleagues can log in with SSO. When logging in, just select the Log in with SSO on the login screen:
Check out the SSO setup guide for more detailed instructions.
We’ve added a new Admin roleWe’ve added more granularity to our user roles by introducing a new Admin role. Only admins of the Screenful account can manage the SSO settings and control who can get access to this account. Admins are also the only users who can manage plans and billing settings.
