What is the difference between these metrics?
Reaction time = time before the work was started
Cycle time = time from start to completion
Lead time = Reaction time + Cycle time
How is the reaction time calculated?
Reaction time starts running when a task is moved into a state that is mapped to the "Not started" in the workflow mapping. The reaction time stops when the task is moved out from that state. If the task is never placed into a state that is mapped to the “Not started” workflow state, then the reaction time is zero.
What if tasks skip lists/columns, or there is no sequential workflow?
The timing information is based on how long items stay in the workflow states that are mapped to "In progress" in the workflow mapping. There is no need for sequential progress, and it is totally fine if tasks skip some of the workflow steps.
What if a task is moved from the “not started” state directly to “done” without going through any of the “in progress” states?
In that case, the cycle time will be zero.
How does the cycle time work if a task is moved into "in progress" and then back to "not started yet"? Similarly, what happens if a card is archived while it's in progress?
Cycle time is calculated only for completed tasks, so in both of those cases, cycle time would be undefined.
If a task is moved from "in progress" to "done", but then back to "in progress" again for additional work would this time be added to the cycle time?
Cycle time is counted only when the task is in progress, so the time spent in the "done" state is not included in the calculation.
When is a task created? Does the clock start when a task is created or when it is put in the "next" state (or equivalent)?
The clock starts when a task is moved to a workflow state that is mapped to the "not started" or "in progress" workflow state.
Are weekends included in the cycle time calculations?
Weekends are included in the calculations by default, but you can change that in the chart settings by selecting 'Exclude non-business hours. See How to set weekend days and office hours

If you want to exclude individual items from the metrics, you can do it by following the steps below
Set a specific label or tag (e.g. "excluded") to the item you want to exclude (task, issue, user story etc.)
Go to Screenful and reset the data source in the Data sync options
Go to the chart in question and set a filter (e.g. label is none of 'excluded')
If the item is already archived, you have to unarchive it first. Then apply the steps 1-2. After that, you can archive it again.

You are not limited to any specific set of states or a workflow. You can configure your own workflow, if such exists, and you can use that in your reporting. It's also ok if you don't have any workflow in your boards, as can create reports based on any other criteria by setting a filter.

The likely reason is that someone on your team disabled the Power-Up on your board. If anyone on your team enables it, it will be visible again for all team members. That’s how Power-Ups work, either everyone sees it, or no one sees it.

Filter options are derived from task data, which means that if you recently added some properties, such as labels, but haven't yet assigned them to any tasks, they won't show up in the filter options. As soon as you assign them to tasks, they will show up in the filter options from then on.

I have created an automation to move completed tasks from one Asana board to another. Will that mess up my stats?
If a task is moved from Project A to Project B, you will lose the task history from Project A since the Asana API won't return it anymore. Instead of moving to another project, you can create a dedicated "Archived" section at the bottom of your project (that is folded by default), and set up an automation to move completed tasks to that section instead of another project. That way, you won't lose any history.

Currently, we cannot measure the cycle time by workflow state for the new GitHub projects due to a lack of API support. The state transition history is provided for classic projects but not for new projects. You can learn more and upvote the issue in the GitHub forum.

You can pull metrics from repositories that you own, you have contributed to, or that are in your organisation. If your organisation has applied special restrictions on 3rd party access you need to grant access to the Screenful app first.

I installed your marketplace add-on but can’t create data sources because of an authorization failure
Reinstalling the add-on might help in this case. You need to stop the trial first, and then uninstall the add-on. After that, you can install it again and continue with your trial.

If you try to install the add-on with a direct link you may get an error message like “Add-on key is invalid”. Most likely this means that you’re not logged in to Jira with sufficient administrator privileges to install add-ons. Check your permissions or cantact your Jira admin.

It can happen that the Jira board you need is not visible in dashboard creation wizard. The most common reason is that the user you’re using to authorize the connection does not have access to that board. If you’ve installed Screenful from the Atlassian Marketplace check this guide. If you’ve installed Screenful as a stand-alone web app, start from here.

Two common scenarios could cause the difference. First, if any Jira columns are excluded in Screenful workflow settings, issues from those Jira columns won't be imported to Screenful. In addition, if there are Jira statuses that are not mapped to any Jira column in the Jira board configuration view, issues with those statuses are not imported to Screenful.

When you add a new custom field to your board, it is imported during the next data sync (the data is synced automatically once per hour). You can trigger sync manually anytime by selecting Data sync options from the main menu. Notice that the new field should also have a value assigned in at least one task.

Some features may not work when using Screenful in monday.com desktop app. You won't be able to import data sources because the authorization doesn't work in the desktop app. Also, some links in the UI may not be clickable when using the desktop app. When using Screenful, there are these alternatives to the monday.com desktop app.

I have created automation to move items from one monday.com board to another. Will that mess up my stats?
If an item is moved from board A to board B, you will lose the data about the item movements in board A since the Monday API won’t return it anymore. To avoid losing data, consider these alternatives:
Add a delay of at least two hours before moving an item. That leaves enough time for Screenful to register that the item was completed (sync runs once per hour)
Create a dedicated "Archived" group at the bottom of your board, and create an automation to move completed items to that group instead of another board.

If you’re using the Monday IP restrictions feature it will block access to the monday API, which the Screenful connector needs in order to fetch data. To enable Screenful whitelist the IP address 34.251.47.98 and contact support@screenful.com so we can finalize the configuration.

If a card is moved from board A to board B, you will lose the card history from the board A since the Trello API won't return it anymore. Instead of moving to another board, you can create an automation to archive the card.
Once archived, the card is no longer visible on the board but is still included in Trello's search feature, and can be returned to the board at any time if needed.
Another option is to add a delay of at least two hours before moving an item. That leaves enough time for Screenful to register that the card was completed (sync runs once per hour).
